MADISON ââ?¬â? Coach Barry Alvarez’s staff is gathering more information about the arrest of Badgers wide receiver Marcus Randle El on a tentative charge of battery, the athletics spokesman said Sunday. His status with the team remained up in the air.
Randle El, the 19-year-old brother of Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El, was arrested after allegedly punching another 19-year-old he knew at around 11 p.m. Friday night at his home in Madison over an alleged theft of money, police said.
