Rhonda Reese, executive director of Youth Services Inc., the State Journal charity that sponsors the Empty Stocking Club, estimates that 400 people volunteered at the Toy Depot. Among them were groups from Target Stores, Rotary, Hospice, Centro Hispano, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, UW-Madison students and, of course, the families associated with Capital Newspapers Inc.
