Snow cancels school first time in 5 years

The winter storm that unloaded 9 inches of snow on Madison by noon Thursday shut down schools, forced UW- Madison to call off late- afternoon and evening classes, sent vehicles spinning and even brought commerce to a halt – both West Towne and East Towne malls closed early.
