Stem cell debate closely watched at UW (Wisconsin Radio Network)

The US senate takes up the hot-topic of embryonic stem cell research Monday afternoon. And researchers at the UW-Madison will be watching it closely. UW-Madison spokesman Terry Devitt says embryonic stem cell research holds enormous promise for curing a host of cell-related diseases and federal funding is crucial. Devitt says the federal government is the largest research funder on the planet.
