UW-Madison sophomore David Kopischke voted for the first time Tuesday afternoon, waiting in long lines at the polls that for some students around the state took nearly an hour to navigate.
The last time Wisconsinites voted in such numbers in a midterm election for governor, the 19-year-old Kopischke hadn’t even been born.
