Robert Fassnacht was just a physics student working on his post-doctoral degree back 1970 and most agree recognizing his death was long overdue.
Marvin Wolfmeyer was a classmate of Robert Fassnacht. “He was a very generous person. Very giving. He would go out of his way to help you if he could.” Wolfmeyer drove from Minnesota to be on hand when a plaque remembering Fassnacht was unveiled. “We need to recognize him.”
