(MADISON) The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation or WARF is challenging the federal governmentâ??s preliminary rejection of three stem cell patents. In April, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office announced it would throw out the patents because discoveries made by University of Wisconsin researcher James Thomson were â??obvious,â? given earlier research.
