Madison Snaps — Ogg Hall (The Daily Page)

Today’s image is titled Ogg Hall awaiting demolition and was photographed by Nadine Goff.

Ogg Hall, a UW-Madison residence hall originally opened in 1965, is currently being prepped for destruction as the latest step in the makeover of the southeast element of the Campus Master Plan. This shot focuses on scaffolding climbing the north face of one of the dorm’s towers, as seen from West Johnson Street. It is one of nearly a score in a photo set taken by Goff, capturing the incremental death of the onetime downtown skyline standout.
