In announcing that the University of Wisconsin football team had accepted a bid Wednesday to the Outback Bowl, Jim McVay, president and CEO of the bowl, described the Badgers as “the perfect bowl team for our game.”
“The Badger package is unbelievable with the team, the coaching, the fans, the band, the cheerleaders,” McVay said. “Everything about Wisconsin says, ‘New Year’s Day bowl game.’
