UW-Madison faces lawsuit over ‘discriminatory’ scholarships, grants

A conservative legal group celebrated last month when the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled a state grant program aimed at helping students of color attend college was unconstitutional. Now, the group is targeting a similar program for Universities of Wisconsin students.

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty filed a lawsuit Tuesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court against five administrators at UW-Madison, including interim Chancellor Eric Wilcots and Provost John Zumbrunnen.
