University of Wisconsin-Madison students will begin moving into residence halls this weekend, bringing an estimated 9,000 students to campus and prompting traffic changes near the southeast side of campus.
Students and families headed downtown in the coming days should expect increased traffic, crowds and students moving furniture as the university’s fall move-in begins.
The university will close some roads on the southeast side of campus and convert Park and Lake streets to one-way traffic to accommodate move-in activity.
