Former UW women’s soccer player Vermeulen off to Beijing

Former University of Wisconsin soccer player Amy Vermeulen has been named an alternate for the Canadian team for the Beijing Olympics.

The 24-year-old forward played for UW from 2001 to 2005 and holds the school record for assists in a career (27).
