The university is willing to sell the house, which once served as a home economics practice home, for $1, as long as the purchaser agrees to move it off campus.
But with no serious suitors so far, its future looks dim, said Angela Pakes Ahlman, a UW-Madison architect and project manager.
The home, at 1430 Linden Drive, stands in the way of a major expansion of the main School of Human Ecology building, just to the east. The deadline to find a buyer is Aug. 31.
