Erwin K. Welsch passed away on Aug. 30, 2009. Most of his professional career was spent in the Memorial Library at the University of Wisconsin-Madison developing collections on Western European studies, authoring bibliographical guides for the Council for European Studies, and writing and speaking on technology and libraries.
