An 81-year-old man died Thursday afternoon in the lobby of UW-Madison’s Witte Hall, police said.
Police responded at about 4 p.m. to the residence hall at 615 W. Johnson Street for a person reported to be not breathing and without a pulse. The man had been sitting in the lobby and was slumped over when police arrived. Police said they used an automated external defibrillator, or AED, but were not able to revive him.
