The federal government has given Wisconsin a $647,000 grant to study wrongful convictions and offset the costs of DNA tests.The money will go to help the Wisconsin Innocence Project identify homicide and rape cases with DNA that might make a difference in court. The state Justice Department will use a portion of the grant to cover expenses from resulting DNA tests.
