Dr. August P.”Gus” Lemberger, age 84, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010. He was one of the UW-Madison’s first male cheerleaders. Gus was a member of the Pharmacy School Faculty at the University of Wisconsin from 1953 to 1969; then served as dean at the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Pharmacy 1969 to 1980 when he returned to University of Wisconsin-Madison as dean of Pharmacy. He retired in 1991.
