Brown says he’s not the killer (Baraboo News Republic)

Kim Brown, the admitted murderer of an Adams County woman, strongly rejected assertions he could be responsible for the 1987 death of Angela Hackl near Sauk City as an appeals hearing continued Tuesday in Sauk County Circuit Court.

A substantial crowd made up largely of family and friends of the defendant filled the courtroom as attorneys and students from the University of Wisconsin Law Schoolâ??s Wisconsin Innocence Project continued their appeal on behalf of rural Sauk City resident Terry G. Vollbrecht, 48. He was convicted of the June 1987 murder of Hackl, an 18-year-old Arena resident.
