The Madison Sports Hall of Fameâ??s Class of 2010 features inductees with a mixture of outstanding athletic ability, concern and compassion for Madisonâ??s youth and athletes, and a journalist and marketer who helped the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department rise to great levels. Vince Sweeney grew up on Madisonâ??s near West Side, became a three-sport high school athlete at Edgewood, and would go on to a long, distinguished career as a sports journalist and a senior-ranking administrator for the University of Wisconsin athletic department.
