Celebration of the Life of Hans Ris, Professor Emeritus, University of Wisconsin Zoology Department will take place on April 9, 2004, at 1 p.m. in the ALUMNI LOUNGE OF THE PYLE CENTER, 702 Langdon St., in Madison. Colleagues and friends are also urged to attend a 3-D slide presentation of Hans’ work. This will take place immediately after the Pyle Center gathering at the home of Jim Pawley, 21 N. Prospect Avenue. Hans Ris was born in Bern, Switzerland in 1914, and died in Madison on Nov. 19, 2004, (obituary appeared on Nov. 23, 2004.) He is survived by his wife, Theron Ris; daughter, Anet Kelman-Ris; and his son, Christopher Ris.
