Students in the E-Projects in Community Service (EPICS) course at UW-Madison also meld learning with lending a hand to nonprofit groups.
Student teams designed Web sites, built Web-based information systems, created logos and developed marketing materials at no cost for the civic groups.
The EPICS program brings together undergraduate and graduate students of diverse skills and backgrounds from fields such as engineering, art, business and journalism.
