In contrast, the rate that contractors such as UW- Madison and other institutions pay for unlimited passes for employees or members would increase from 0.825 to 0.88 cents per ride, he said, adding that those rates could be increased further and still provide a tremendous discount.
“The UW alone accounts for about 1 million rides a year,” Jacob said.
