DELAFIELD — Anybody who knows Trevon Hughes rarely calls him by his first name. He’s referred to as Cadet Hughes most of the time by the teachers at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy here. His family and friends have been calling him “Poppy” since he was a baby in Queens.
