Investigation of UW’s Barrows is finished

An investigation of UW- Madison administrator Paul Barrows’ seven-month personal leave was finished Tuesday and could be released to the public by Sept. 23, leaders from UW- Madison and the University of Wisconsin System said in a statement.

Copies of the report compiled by Susan Steingass, a UW-Madison law professor and former Dane County circuit judge, were given to UW- Madison Provost Peter Spear and System President Kevin Reilly, who will review the report and make a decision about what to do next. Barrows being fired is one possible result, officials have said.
