Rep. Steve Nass R-Whitewater, chairman of the Assembly Colleges and Universities Committee, is supporting a compromise on the number of non-residents that can be admitted annually to the UW system and a binding commitment that requires the University of Wisconsin-Madison to admit at least 3,500 Wisconsin high school graduates annually, according to a release from the legislators office.
