For the first time in more than a quarter-century, UW-Stout will start the next academic year with a new chancellor. Charles Sorenson, leader of the Menomonie campus since 1988, announced Monday he?ll retire effective next August and be replaced by someone who, if history can be believed, might stay for a while.
