Noted: As for other professional development opportunities for Madison schools staff, district spokeswoman Rachel Strauch-Nelson said the board is set to consider a partnership with UW-Madison?s School of Education. Gloria Ladson-Billings ? a black education professor who was on the board of the proposed Urban League school ? would be the ?lead? in that effort, Strauch-Nelson said, ?so that we can ensure that issues of equity and diversity are the center of all of our core professional development as a district.?
