“This study has opened our eyes to glaring knowledge gaps about infection in a species of great national importance,” Tony Goldberg, lead study author and professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, said in a statement. “It’s a more complicated story than we thought it might be at first, but that makes it more interesting.”
The new University of Wisconsin-Madison accelerated Master of Science in Design + Innovation combines expertise from five schools and colleges with team-based interaction, and offers students a breadth of highly desired skills.
During the celebration, Madison School Board President Gloria Reyes and Derek Johnson, of UW-Madison’s Diversity Affairs Office, will receive awards for their community service. Both grew up in the Darbo-Worthington Neighborhood, home to Mentoring Positives.

“The treatment that’s provided tends to be culturally loaded with white, middle-class culture and social norms, as well as people,” Quintana said.
Last week’s report from the UW-Madison that one in four women on campus report being sexually assaulted was certainly no surprise to us.
The prevalence of sexual assault is not limited to female undergraduates — this continues to disproportionately affect minorities, students with disabilities and LGBTQ+ students.

Schueb, who started teaching at UW in 1970, was known for studying African oral traditions and folklore. With over two dozen books and 70 articles published, he was well-respected in his field.
Harold Scheub, a UW-Madison professor who taught an African storytelling course to nearly 20,000 students over a 43-year university career, died Wednesday. He was 88.
