An amended version of the bill clarifies that it only applies to federal money accepted by the governor on behalf of the state and not initial allocations provided to departments. The amended resolution also maintains the UW-System Board of Regents’ authority to accept and allocate federal funding without legislative approval. The amended resolution heads back to the Senate for concurrence.

UW’s six-year graduation rate, based on freshmen who entered the university in 2015, is the highest its ever been at 89.2%, UW spokesperson Meredith McGlone said in an email statement.

Thompson Distinguished Public Leadership Award, an accolade presented to individuals who have “committed themselves to public service, worked tirelessly to advance sound public policy, and exhibited virtuous leadership.”
