Wisconsin Welcome, an annual multiweek celebration welcoming the incoming freshman class and transfer students, is underway at the University of Wisconsin, according to the UW Office of Student Transition and Family Engagement.
The celebration began Sunday with the Sunburst Festival at Union South, which offered free food samples from its restaurants, a silent disco, several indoor and outdoor games, live music and more for students to check out, according to the Wisconsin Union.
The fifth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team swept Auburn behind freshman Halle Thompson’s double-double and 10 kills from Eva Travis.
The Badgers won 25-23, 25-17, 25-20, hitting .305 as a team, and improving their overall record to 3-3. Junior setter Charlie Fuerbringer totaled 36 assists and 12 digs.
