Thanks to a $10 million grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and matching funds from the state, UW-Madison hopes to enhance its commitment to the humanities. The grant is intended to support core areas of study, hire new faculty, and support postdoctoral and graduate students, the university announced in a press release Monday.
