Cycling in the area got a lift when UW-Madison won its own bid for a high-profile event. In November, the National Collegiate Cycling Association, part of the sportâ??s national governing body USA Cycling, announced that UWâ??s cycling team – the universityâ??s largest club sport – would host the 2010 and 2011 Collegiate Road National Championship races.
