Madison: Many of the midwest’s largest cable companies are still fighting the Big 10 Network over how much they should pay to carry the channel and whether it belongs in the basic cable package or in a more expensive sports package.
Currently the only way to watch the Big 10 Network is with the satellite provider Direct TV.
As UW freshmen move in, they don’t realize the key to their popularity may be their TV. For the first time in the history of college upperclassmen may be asking freshmen if they can come over to the dorms and hang out.
