A proposed practice rink for the UW men?s and women?s hockey programs cleared a significant hurdle Friday when the Board of Regents gave its blessing. Now the $27.6 million project will be considered by the State Building Commission at its meeting Oct. 20. If approved, the 2,400-seat facility to be built adjacent to the Kohl Center will be on track to be ready by the fall of 2012.
