If UW-Milwaukeeâ??s athletic department was not on top of the world in 2005, it was at least breathing the rarefied air up there. March Madness gripped the campus, electrified the city and energized alumni, untold thousands of whom hadnâ??t worn their school colors – or opened their wallets – in years.
