The American Cancer Society’s 7th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Gala on Saturday brought in more than $1 million to help in the battle against the disease. That tops the record for similar events held around the country of $956,184 that was set here last year, which broke the mark of just over $700,000 that was set the previous year.
