Would he be cheering or sniggering from the sidelines that kids today just don’t get it? We’ll leave that for the alternate historians, but Rickert is dead wrong about student protest.

Jeffrey Lewis, an outreach specialist for under-served communities at the University of Wisconsin Extension, will retire Nov. 3, after being recognized next week as a “distinguished prefix,” a title reserved for a small number of high-level academic staff “whose superlative accomplishments are evidenced by widespread peer recognition.”

University of Wisconsin-Madison students plan to rally Wednesday against Senate Bill 169. The bill would eliminate a required conceal-carry permit in Wisconsin. It would also allow concealed firearms on properties they were previously banned from, unless otherwise noted.

Sweeping proposal could change structure of UW System campuses
