Wisconsin-reared Carol Bartz, who grew up on a farm near Alma, took over Tuesday as CEO of one of the country’s most famous tech companies, Yahoo Inc.
A 1971 computer science graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Bartz brings to the struggling Internet search giant a track record of accomplishment and toughness.
