LAS CRUCES – The partially burned body of a man found in south Las Cruces last month was that of a University of Wisconsin-Madison student, police said Thursday.
The body of Michael J. Mowers, 22, was discovered Nov. 21 in a culvert leading to a canal near Calle de Alegra, off South Main Street.
It was not known what Mowers was doing in Las Cruces.
