The Fruit Stand, a downtown fixture, closes after 31 seasons

Six presidents, six University of Wisconsin chancellors and one presidential visit later, a downtown Madison fixture closed up shop Tuesday afternoon after 31 years weathering a constantly changing Madison landscape.
