An increase in violent crime on and near campus is spurring a new safety campaign spearheaded by UW-Madison’s student government association.
At a news conference Tuesday, members of Associated Students of Madison said the initiative would foster cooperation between police agencies and involve student organizations in coming up with ways to make campus safer.
