The University of Wisconsin Board of Regents is right to look for ways to help low-income students attend college.
Tuition at UW campuses has gone up from an average $2,848 in 1997 to an average level of $5,037 today. Meanwhile, financial aid for low-income students has not kept pace ââ?¬â? rising from $843 to only $1,284 during the same time period.
