Other members of the panel included an official from Janssen, a drug company that has manufactured opioids, and a researcher from the University of Wisconsin’s Pain & Policy Studies Group, which received $1.6 million in funding from Purdue from 1999 to 2010, according to a 2011 investigation by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
