As the parent of a student in UW System, I applaud the Legislature for auditing the System?s finances closely.We had a child in the System 10 years ago. The price of tuition and housing has doubled during that time, and additional fees have been added. I am sure many costs have increased over time, but doubled? Planning for a ?rainy day? is when you put 5 percent or 8 percent in the piggy bank, not several times that.
