State’s private colleges do fine for fall enrollment, despite economic turbulence

Rising unemployment and the recession had many students and their families wondering last spring if they could afford higher education. Now it looks like most made the jump: enrollment at UW schools held steady for two-year-colleges, and went up five percent for two-year-colleges.Administrators for Wisconsinâ??s private colleges are also pleased with the latest fall figures.
