Dr. Ronald H. Laessig, PhD, age 68, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Ronald graduated from U.W. Stevens Point in 1962 Magna Cum Laude and then attended U.W. Madison where he received his doctorate in chemistry. After completing his doctorate, he did his post doctoral work at Princeton. In January of 1966, he was united in marriage to Joan Spreda at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Stevens Point. He worked for 20 years as the director of the State Laboratory of Hygiene and as a professor at U.W. Madison in the department of pathology and preventive medicine.
