A Memorial Service is scheduled for Gelsy Verna, Professor of Art. The public is invited to attend a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008, in the banquet room of the University Club, 803 State Street on Library Mall. Verna died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, from a chronic health condition in her home. She came to the UW-Madison Art Department in 2001 after teaching painting and drawing at the University of Iowa for six years.
