John H. Epple, born April 10, 1931, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, after a brief illness. John moved to Madison, Wis. to become the textbook manager for the University Bookstore in 1962. He became the general manager in 1974, and bookstore president/CEO in 1978, the position he held until his retirement in 1993.
