Robert W. (Bob) Simmons, Jr., passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 22, 2009, at the age of 76. He was a member of the faculty of the University of Wisconsin, from 1962 until 1970, in the Linguistics Department, teaching Slavic languages and literature.
