In her long public life, Sally partnered her husband’s professional positions at the universities of Illinois (law school), Wisconsin (chancellor) and Michigan (president) with unequaled grace and skill. She orchestrated countless dinners, luncheons and receptions, planned the multitudes of social and other events associated with Big Ten university leadership, and traveled extensively.
